    CANON IR 2200

Working on a canon ir 2200 that is jamming from both paper trays. At first i thought it was the paper pick up assembly in tray 1, but now it is happening in both trays. I can not believe that both trays would need a pick up assmbly. Any ideas?

it can be the pick up unit for this machine is all in once both tray are together and they do have drive gears that snap
only way to fix is replace the unit

or check for other issues ie reg rollers not turning or broken sensor arms

Yes....need jam codes!!! if 0103 or 0203 ive had problems with oneway on vertical roll. 0105 or 0106 jams ..the drive gear that walks up and down in the pickup assy can be defective..ive seen the little teeth on it get hacked up or the gear itself is hanging up when moving to change trays. GP200 was notorious for this and i used to put a piece of folded paper in the plastic frame to spread the gap that the gear moves up and down inside. Or the lifter gear teeth and knife are chipped on both pickup assemblies.....fun to replace!!!! Especially top tray
