Help Request: Canon IR4570 Hard Disk Cloning Problem

    Hi friends,

I'm trying to clone the hdd of canon ir4570. I'm using acronis home to clone my other hdd (e.g ir3320i/3300i/irc3200/irc3220) and cloning job is successful but when i try just to backup the hdd of ir4570, i can't seem to get it done. worst still is that the working hdd gets E602-001 after i initialize the hdd in windows.

is the format for the ir4570 different from the rest?

Does anyone have any solution to this?
I'm currently trying to do a clone and restore for the ir4570 hdd.
    would appreciate some help here.

      Playing with cloning?
link below was a successful example, thought it is not for your model, change the LBA, works on xx70.

                    i have iR2270-ALL_HDF-USen3701-CKTEJ.ift it can't.

if u have 2270 firmware/ HDD Format is in there/ look under SINGLE/
in the drop down choose "Single",
also read below/ look a your P-PRINT/USER DATA PRINT

                    imageRUNNER 4570 / 3570 / 2870 / 2270

If a new HDD is installed with a BootRom version lower than v6.36, the system software cannot be installed, and the BootRom cannot be upgraded.

Listed below are a few solutions for this issue.

                    1. Carry and use a copier BootRom v6.36 or higher to format and install the System Software to the new HDD. The original Bootrom [C or N] now can be upgraded, after flashing the System Software. Be sure the Bootrom is model specific.
                    2. Bring the original BootRom that is lower than v6.36 to a known working machine and flash it to v6.36 or higher. Install the BootRom back into the original machine, format and install the System software.

                    imageRunner 2270 / 2870 / 3570 / 4570 Hard Drive Installation Procedure

Formatting procedure: 1. Install Hard drive in the iR.
                    2. Connect the laptop to the machine with a crossover cable.
                    3. Set the laptop IP address to 172.16.1.10 (subnet mask 255.255.255.0).
                    4. Bring the machine up in download mode by holding down the 2 & 8 keys on the control panel and turning on the machine. Once in download mode, the copier will use the IP address 172.16.1.100 (subnet mask 255.255.255.0).
                    5. Open the Service Support tool and locate in the drop down choose "Single", under the model iR2270
                    6. Highlight the file and press start.
                    7. When completed go back to the main menu of the Service Support tool and locate the file ALL HDF and click on the file to highlight it and then click on the start button.
This completes the download of all files needed for this upgrade.

how do u know all the HDD's are working
or Canon firmware compatible if replacing them ??

Personal choice for me = Better to use SST & 4570 FIRMWARE

I said that this copier can without the HDD . I don't have the time and the SST to install on this machine, and I need to ship them ASAP. and this seem the fastest way in resolving it.

What is so fast about cloning ???
                            Two Points
1.all 15 HDD's need to be formated & removed before Clone
                            2.all 15 HDD's need to functioning
                            3. u need to re-install all & test all

With the SST & Firmware u don't need to remove the HDD's
                            simple & fast

anyone can give me the resolution for my problems beside using sst...?
