Simple, subtract black from your total 101, and what ever remains is consider color clicks
So if they have, Total 101: 25,500 And black is 25,000, 500 would be your color count.
How can I add the total counter, color counter and black counter on the counter check screen ??
thanks
There are a few hundred of software counters available but only 6 can be displayed in the Check Counter of the Color imageRUNNER. Below are the 6 most useful counters to display and monitor that actually will cover all counts and distinquish between black & white and color clicks.
101 = TOTAL 1
105 = TOTAL (full-color 1)
108 = TOTAL (black and white 1) If you add TOTAL (full-color 1) and TOTAL (black and white 1), the total will be the same as TOTAL 1.
(105 + 108 = 101)
This is useful if you want to distinguish all full-color and black & white activity throughout the machine.
102 = TOTAL 2
106 = TOTAL (full-color 2)
109 = TOTAL (black and white 2)
If you add TOTAL (full-color 2) and TOTAL (black and white 2), the total will be the same as TOTAL 2.
(106 + 109 = 102)
NOTE: The software counters above show a number 1 and 2. These numbers are described below:
1 = single click count on any size paper 2 = double click count on paper sizes LTR(R), LEGAL, 11 X 17 and 12 X 18 only.
The number 1 is single click count for any paper size and the number 2 is for double click count on paper size LTR(R), LEGAL, 11 X 17, 12 X 18 sizes
there are about 320 different types of counter settings/ for billing purposes - for copies/prints- check your manual
from service mode U CAN RE- SET counter display #2 to 5

If you add TOTAL (full-color 2) and TOTAL (black and white 2), the total will be the same as TOTAL 2.
(106 + 109 = 102)
As a side note I ran into something last week,, have you ever noted a machine where that math did not quite add up? 102 seemed to be a little higher than the math in 106+109,, we found out that meter 124 was actually better than 106, because the machine double clicks for single color as well as full color, but 106 only catches full color. Almost no one uses single color, but if a print shop was aware of the anomaly, you could be sure they would find a way to bill for color copies while only clicking their billing meter 106 for a single click.
Just some of the weird crap rattlin' around in my head

****reminder that the value of Counter 102/ uses two meter clicks for 11x17 paper for billing advantage

I doubt it makes any difference to the meters you use, but for all colour machines, our company uses 405 and 409 for black and colour respectivly.
405 - Copies + Prints (B&W 2) single click for A4 / 2 for A3
409 - Copies + Prints (Full and mono colour 2) clicks the same for 405
We also have differing set ups if the customer just wants scans, prints and copies on seperate meter rates but this becomes a pain in the ass.
Just my 2c!!!
just to add >> Counters make a difference if a customer wants a Contract or Lease with Drums and or Toner included and are priced at Copies/Prints per Month .
