make sure the DADF /document size detection is working/ if not u will not receive proper scan for orig.documents in tray/ if u have miss-feeds or double feeds ,a jam or error code would appear

The doc feed sends all originals in a stack through perfectly. Copies one or sometimes one and two come through perfect on output, then 3,4,5,6 etc come out 1/3 page, blank, etc.

Exit section of doc feed works right; the scanner seems to follow originals as it should on glass for multi copies; checked belts for feeder belt, all good. Size detection works; have not tried a magnet on end of scanner motor will give that a shot.

Any ideas because we have drawn a blank here. Scanner throws no codes off and seems to operate the scanner as it should.

      Thanks

It is difficult to see if the Scan Lamp goes out for an instant during scan/ it would not throw a error if it comes on and off quickly during scan/

try this lift cover and place a book on glass> select two page book mode watch scanner to see operation of lamp & scanner

Great suggestion by Candoo on the magents affixing magnets to scanner motor. Took two half-moon magnets out of a butout Maxtor hard drive we had here and they formed almost perfect circle around scanner motor.

Made 10 test copies through DADF and all came out perfect. Beats buying a motor and as strong as those HDD magnets are they are not going anywhere.
