printing problem for canon IR3300

for copier IR3300 copying is working okay , but now when printing through the parallel port
LP1 , it fails most of the times or always print query , or it takes very long times between the
pages, i got the driver from windows xp version 2002 so can experts advise me ,thanks in advance

Why not use the network port? It should be more reliable. Have you downloaded the latest print drivers?

When you say now it fails or prints slow, I assume it worked fine before?

Have you rebooted your computer and turned off/on the copier with the main power switch (not the button on the control panel)?

Try reseating the cable at the copier and computer. Make sure the cable is straight and no sharp bends or kinks or damaged. Avoid running the cable parallel with any power cords when possible.

i agree why you dont use network port using cross cable? i can send you u the instructions

dear Remielee kindly send to me the cross cable configuration ,as well as useful network instructions. i did add printer wizard with tcp/ip port , i added
the ip address of ir3300 . also i provided driver pcl5e from the net search .
but computer takes 10 minutes to sense the printer or may not ,is it cable problem ? or printer or driver or what ...... thank you
