    Setting new IP address C5870u

Greetings. My company took over an office building with a Canon C5870u and Fiery server attached. I've been able to remove the old Admin password from the machine so we can use the copy functions, but I cannot determine how to reset the IP of the Fiery server so I can add it to our print network. Can anyone direct me?

    Thank you.

you have to get into the setup of the fiery in order to change the IP address. Push the printer tab on the touch screen and enter the printer menu. There should be a selection to enter the configuration of the device. Once in setup you need to go to network settings>port settings and change your IP, subnet and gateway. Make sure the domain information matches as well.
Accidents don't just happen. They must be carelessly planned.

Thank you for the reply. When I press the "Printer Status/Setup" button, I get a "Please Wait" screen and the system hangs there until I cancel out. Perhaps I am simply not waiting long enough?

-edit- I did a hard power cycle on the Fiery server (plug from wall) and now when I press "Printer Ststus/Setup" it is asking for another password. Ugh. Any way I can bypass or reset this one?

        for default password Try> Fiery.1

better hope no one changed it !!!!

        also Enter Service mode
check the setting of IMG-CONT > should be 3- (All EFI Color Controllers)
even if it lists 3 >enter again >Hit OK and reboot the copier.

Thank you that was it! I was able to setup the IP networking properly and we can now connect to it as a color printer. Settingup the email and scanning is next.

          I appreciate your help.
