to change the IP Address of a 'copier only' or 'Canon Printer Kit driven' imageRUNNER. If you have an imagePASS controller (or other Fiery controller), you will need to change the IP Address of the machine in 'Fiery Setup'.

IMPORTANT - The images of the control panel in this document may differ slightly from yours, depending on the System Software version on your machine. Settings specified from the control panel become effective once the procedure is completed and the machine is restarted.

              1. Press [Additional Functions].

              2. On the touch panel display, press [System Settings].

IMPORTANT: If a message appears on the touch panel display prompting you to enter the System Manager ID and password, you will need to enter the System Manager ID and password that were configured previously on this machine. The System Manager ID and password was configured to protect the System Settings from unauthorized changes.

              3. Press [Network Settings].

              4. Press [TCP/IP Settings].

              5. Press [IP Address Settings]. Some newer devices will show IPv4 or IPv6 settings. Choose IPv4 Settings.

              6. Make sure that IP Address is highlighted. Then press the [Clear] button to erase the current IP address and enter the new IP address using the keypad. Change the subnet mask and gateway settings in the same manner (as necessary).

              * Since you are manually specifying a static IP Address, be sure that DHCP, BOOTP, and RARP are disabled.

              7. Confirm the settings you specified, and then press [OK]. The display returns to the TCP/IP Settings screen.

              8. Press [Done]. Repeat this step until the Additional Functions screen closes.

              9. Reboot the machine via the proper procedure for your specific model.

              OR~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
For the general ColorPASS Series you will need to reboot the unit and hold down any key during boot up when prompted. For the ColorPASS-V Series you will need to reboot the unit, and hold down the 4th menu button.
For the ColorPASS-Z Series, there are three (3) ways to access Server Setup, either Locally on the ColorPASS or Remotely from Fiery Setup.
              1) Local Fiery Setup
              1. You can access the ColorPASS Server Setup in these ways:
•Right click the FieryBar on the Windows NT 4.0 desktop and choose Set Up Fiery.
•Right click the Fiery icon in the Windows NT 4.0 taskbar and choose Set Up Fiery.
•Start the Command WorkStation and choose Setup from the Server menu.
The Fiery Server Setup window should appear.
              2. You see the available settings only when you select the particular option. For example to change or view the setting for the Passwords, click on Passwords to select it. Then you will see the available settings at the bottom of the window.
              3. After making your selections in a window, click the Apply button if it is present. When you are finished performing Setup, click OK to close the entire Setup window.
              2) Remote Fiery Setup
              1. Start the Command WorkStation application.
              2. Login as Administrator.
              3. Choose Setup from the Server Menu.
              3) Control Panel Setup
              1. Boot the ColorPASS Z to Idle.
              2. Once in idle, hit the menu button on the ColorPASS (the circular button between the 2 arrow buttons below the LCD screen). This will bring up a list of options on the LCD screen.
              3. Scroll down once with the down arrow button and select Run Setup from the me

Anyhow who cares. This poster all he does is ask for stuff, he does not support copytech or any other tech with anything. Let him or her get there own manuals. This information should not be given so freely. It requires years training to get to the level where we are at and it was not given to me for free. I help those who are indeed need of help not those who want everything meaning valuable information, manuals or firmware.
