    Canon Fax L3000ip, full reset?

    Hi,

I don't have any access to my fax L3000IP, I think I (or someone else) must have enabled something to ask for Dept. ID and password. it keeps prompting for that and I don't know them now.

How Can I fully reset it so that I can configure it right this time.

    Thank you

    Ozy,

    Try this Master password (0334559769)

    or try
    1. Press Additional Functions (Data Registration).
    2. Select System Settings. Hit OK (Set).
    3. Select Dept ID Management. Hit OK (Set).
    4. Select ON. Hit OK (Set).
    5. Select Dept ID Entry. Hit OK (Set). Select a slot to register and hit OK (Set).
    6. Enter a Dept ID (or clear out the Dept ID). Hit OK (Set).
    7. Enter a password. Hit OK (Set).

    or this>>
Press Additional Functions, 2, 8, Additional Functions / scroll to CLEAR and press OK / scroll to Department User Clear and press OK. The user and passwords will be cleared, followed by a system reboot..

ALL CLEAR (Use with caution - this will initialize all user, network, and service settings; print/backup important data first).
Additional Functions / 2 / 8 / Additional Functions / scroll to CLEAR / press OK / scroll to ALL / press OK / press Stop / reboot the unit.

Thanks for reply teckat, the problem is that none of the buttons is responding; it keeps prompting for Dept. ID and password!

The master password is too large, the input takes only 7 characters
