USB to Parallel Interface Cable's NetHawk Driver

I believe the correct driver is included with the Service Support Tool
In order to access it, you must first install the Service Support Tool
The correct driver (usbhwk.inf) will then appear in a folder named 'USBPAdp' inside a folder named 'inf'. The folder will be located in the directory where you installed the Service Support Tool. By default, it will be located in C:\Canon\ServiceSupportTool\inf\USBPAdp. > usbhwkun.exe

USB-Parallel cable (FY9-4368-000) supports Windows Vista with Service Support Tool (SST) v4.22 or above.

USB-Parallel cable (FY9-4154-000) does not support Windows Vista regardless of the version of SST.

PDL Downloader v3.1.4.1 or higher will allow you to install system software via the USB port on your computer, using a special USB to Parallel interface cable item # FY9-4154-000. This cable can be purchased from Canon, (the PDL Downloader will NOT support any other USB to Parallel interface cable not provided by Canon).

When updating System Software on an imageRUNNER-iR device that requires an IEEE 1284 parallel printer cable, using a USB to Parallel Nethawk cable does not show as an available option in Service Support Tool even after the drivers of the Nethawk cable is properly installed.

There are certain laptops used in the field by technicians that may exhibit the problem. A workaround is to use a PCMCIA Cardbus to Parallel Port Adapter AND an IEEE1284 Parallel cable.
