have u checked the Firmware on showroom machine ?? Remember that the System Software ver. must match the Language ver.on said model.

I have seen plenty of machines where techs mismatch Language & System, because they are in a hurry and only do single updates or don't select correct ver's it can cause a panel lock up as well as other issues.

      This machine prints and copies!

So the main controller works partially.

      Check cables and connectors.

[QUOTE]Sorry. Just to explain further. Our 2380 showroom machine has the problem. Neither the touch screen or the buttons will function.

THE poster confirmed it was showroom machine control panel touch screen & buttons that did not function on it_ how can u make a copy if buttons don't work ??

Now with the swap the Showroom control panel works on Customers machine, print & copy-touch screen & buttons
        .
Customers machine never had the issue !!

If the showroom machine has mismatched Firmware it can cause a lock up.

          h
ave u tried to do a HD CHECK/ power off-hold >1 & 9 button>continue holding>power on> see if machine starts to defrag on LCD with small white boxes dropping on

i don't see firmware listed for this model in USA ?/ do u know what firmware is compatible on this model ?
if you can get Firmware loaded on a USB stick, that would help, u could try to power off>put in USB firmware loaded stick >hold 2 & 8 key while powering up> see if Download screen pops up, if so > select an ALL
          Update or an Override All

just found out u can use iR3080 FIRMWARE in your model.

              Hi Guys,

Finally managed to solve this with a bit of a brain wave this morning. I have removed and re-inserted the DIMM memory modules or RAM whichever you prefer to call it and the machine has burst back into life!

Thanks for all your comments and help.
