Are you using a patch cable directly connected to the PC.

If so, you should be using a crossover cable.

Just because you can't ping the copier doesn't mean its the driver issue.

It looks like you have a communication problem.

You may have to upgrade your Windows 7 32 bit to Windows 7 Pro. I found a lot of my programs do not run on my new laptop with Win7 32.

Did this connection work before, say with windows xp? And now that you have changed to w7 it does not? All versions of w7 should handle basic connectivity the same...

Communication / connectivity issue . No disrespect intended but Upgrading his version of Win 7 will not help this problem at all. Don't waste your time.

Try disabling your firewall like Vulkor suggested.

                        turn off Firewall or>>>>
Make sure the firewall has file sharing enabled, and if applicable, add the copier's IP to the trusted zone.

also if using ScanGear (Color Network ScanGear), add "SGTool.exe" to the firewall exceptions list.
