    ir c3100 e0020-01a9

    a customer of mine has a 020-01a9 code come up every morning after they wake the machine up. they restart the machine and it runs fine all day. i have replaced the atr sensor with no change in symptoms. please help. thanx

      This error is your yellow developer.

      Has it ever been replaced?

      You can try going into service mode:

      Copier/function/install/sply-h for yellow

      If it helps for a while, then your ok.

      If it comes back, then replace the yellow developer.

              are they using oem toner???? have seen katun toner cause this problem.

                      Yes, and no. The ATR sensor is measuring toner concentration in the developer, so toner is the issue. Agreeing with what is being said here, more than likely the yellow developer assembly is long in the tooth, and needs to find it's way to the dumpster...

                          In ATR control, the detected T/D ratio is
                          lower than its lower limit (3%) 3 times
                          in succession.
                          1-Check on attachment of the developing unit,
                          2-Replace the ATR sensor
