What does the CIS do when you power on the 4570?

          check that crapy harness connector
          !
When u pull CIS back away and power up does motor move it forward or attempt to move ???
did u check J506 for CIS HP SIGNAL> PS503 on Reader pcb.
J506 copy board cover open/closed sensor; connects to the CIS HP
          sensor

          R-CON
          ADDRESS>
          P008
          0- Lamp ON signal 1:ON

1- CIS drive ON signal 1:ON

I had a 2270, very early in it's life pop that code. Optics never were driven home. Reader board was my fix...
