Good morning. I apologize if this is too easy of a question, but, I have researched the one manual I have for this machine and I just reviewed the forum (all 21 pages) to see if the answer was there, but I did not find it. So ...

I have a scanning job we run regularly from the copier. Is there a way to save all the settings and then assign a 1-touch key, so that all we have to do is hit that key and all the settings magically appear?

Wish I could be more definitive about this,,, yes, a "mode settings" procedure exists to accommodate what it is you want to do. (I don't need to know how to drive the bus to fix the bus ), we have someone on our sales staff that does the bells and whistles stuff. If you look in the copier user manual, there will be something in there concerning mode settings...

Also what scanning function are you using?

There is a send tab or a scan tab

Which one do you have on the control panel?

The settings are B&W, 200 x 200, PDF trace & smooth.
We have a "send" tab.
I picked up on the word "register" from the previous post and I'm making progress saving the job, but it refuses to keep my B&W 200x200 setting. It keeps defaulting to color 300x300.

If you go to additional functions/communication settings, there you should see, Edit send settings. You can change the default setting for you DPI setting and also if you want make a default change for your file format setting from tiff to pdf this is where you can do this.
