    Imagerunner 1025IF will not scan to email

    I have a canon imagerunner 1025IF and its networked and has verizon DSL as the ISP. I can print to it and send fax but when I use the scan to email it displays an error that the SMTP or network is not present. I have all the settings in the machine(SMTP IP address,user name and password,email address) we have the same machine at other locations but verizon is not the ISP, could this be an issue are there settings I'm missing. I do not have anything for a DNS server or subnet mask.

    Any help would be great as it is a pain not to be able to scan to email, I'm using a CAT5 cable fromt he machine to my router, should I use a USB?

    You may need to contact Verizon to find out what settings they need for email. I am fairly certain that you will need both the missing DNS as well as gateway address's to continue. Explain what you are attempting, and they may actually help you out...
