Can these machines be used without the c1 print servers, as i have two faulty c1's and they have caused nothing but problems for my customer, i've tried it without the c1 connected but can't seem to find where to enter an ip address. any suggestions would be helpfull, thanks

You would have to change the interface settings in order to see network configuration settings under system settings.
But then you will have a to get printer kits. Since you had C1's connected, the machine only has hardware installed for the C1's.
You might just have to fix those print servers or purchase multi pdl printer kits in order to use the 3200 or 3220 as a printer.Canon Copier Repair Service. Sales, Parts & Toner. NYC/NJ area. Contact:East Coast Imaging Solutions,LLC -
The IP settings are not available because the copier>option>acc>img-cnt is set to 3. When it is set to 0 and the copier restarted, you will have the option to enter IP info. But like Screwtape said, you would have to install the printer kit to print if you do not have the C1's hooked up."Once a King, always a King, but once a Knight is enough!"

Yeah i see what you guys mean, luckily i had 2 of these, 1 with a munted hdd and the other with the passthrough board for the power supply also faulty, so i was able to clone the drive from the working c1 for use in the other machine & simply bypassed the passthrough board, now both machines are working perfectly, thanks for all your help guys.Comment

Hey mrfixit.
I notice that A2's item code is off a digit.
In the service guide it states its,
IRC3200)7777A001AA Color Network Multi PDL Printer kit- A1
IRC3220)7777A011BA Color Network Multi PDL Printer kit- A2
Just pointed this out because I want to know if it was wrong in the service guide.Canon Copier Repair Service. Sales, Parts & Toner. NYC/NJ area. Contact:East Coast Imaging Solutions,LLCComment

Hi Mrfixit51
I have installed the network multi pdl printer card and setting copier >option>INT-FACE>IMG CONT To 0
After that I can input the IP address, subnet mask and gateway address. ping is OK
But no printing when we send print on the computer. I have try to set the IMG-Cont To 4
We can see the printer icon on the display. I want to ask if we need to install any software by using SST. Please tell me what should I do next. Thanks a lotComment

Simple question, after inputting your IP info into the copier, did you turn it off and back on using the main power switch? Changes to network settings only take place on rebooting the copier...
Can you ping the copier? Can you input the IP address of the copier into a browser and see the Remote User Interface? What driver are you using on the PC?"Once a King, always a King, but once a Knight is enough!"

I think i screw up the MC irc3200 when i set copier >option>INT-FACE>IMG CONT To 0 and restart the machine, hope after that it got an option to input the ip setting, it came out e733-0001 and e732-0001. Before that the MC came with C bootroom and 2 weeks ago i replaced it with N Bootroom, add NIC card and replace the N version firmware HDD. Before i set IMG CONT to 0 from 3, it work fine in this 2 weeks till this morning i saw this thread on how to input an ip setting. Did i do anything wrong?
p/s: I dont remember the bootrom versionLast edited by jiongpao; 01-27-2011, 08:47 AM.Comment

Did you remove the Open IF Board...the one that the SCSI cable from the Imagepass plugs into?It is in the slot that the optional UFR board goes into in the main controller cage . 3rd slot down I believe. The Open IF Board is installed when installing the Imagepass.Comment
