You can't source the boot rom that would come as part of a Print kit, well not in this country anyway. When we need a boot rom we have to go direct to Canon
Oh...... I can't copy at the moment then ? !!!!!!

      ver.

When registering firmware for the iRC3220 there is no distinction between N or C version in the Service Support Tool. When you flash the C3220 simply select 'BOOT' and begin the flash process, the Service Support Tool is intuitive and will select the proper version automatically.

boot rom part number is FG3-3280-000. You also need the SURF board FG3-2729-000.

I would check a wholesaler, but since your location is singapore I do not know if anyone state side would be willing to sell and ship to you.

That part number is for the C= Copier Boot Rom/ not the N Boot Rom
/ N Boot rom is only in Multi PDL Printer Kit A2 for said model (3220)

Hi guys, thanks for the replies.

let me explain more about my problem, I got a 3220 that is having an issue printing.
while troubleshooting, I came to a conclusion that the problem is caused by the
N boot rom, changing the boot rom with another one solves the problem but would mean
I would be one boot rom less.

a quick check on the parts catalog doesn't give anything about the rom.

I have actually found some suppliers, mostly in the US selling the boot rom separately for about $70 and the whole Multi PDL Printer Kit A2 for around $500.
this by the way are not brand new.

do you have any suggestions about my problem,? thanks again

Bottom Line>the N BOOT ROM KIT ALSO HAS A UFR PCB. BOARD THAT NEEDS TO BE INSTALLED. That is why the price difference

If you can purchase a used bootrom-n for $70 - Do it - and your problem is solved. You won't find a cheaper way around your issue than that.

It sounds like the copier already has the kit, but he is looking for a bootrom to resolve an issue. If they are Canon certified, they can resolve it with an exchange, otherwise, the $70 dollars is a good price...

Why would he need the board? He has a machine with boards and a bad bootrom. Swapping the bootrom from another machine fixes his trouble but he will be short one bootrom.........
