Many things can cause light Prints, Are we to assume your Copies are OK ??

Is this just a Print Issue, or are all your Documents Light
    ?

If prints are light, and copies are normal. ??????

If this issue occurs, adjust the Density Setting under Additional Functions>Printer Settings>Settings>Print Quality.

Sounds like you have toner save turned on in the print driver. I would go to the properties of the print driver and restore the defaults. Also make sure that you are using the proper print driver for the device.

Which driver are you using and where are you aquiring it from?
Also what program are you having issue with as it could be an application issue. Have you tried multiple applications?
On the copier it sounds like you have adjusted your density and if you checking if your toner save is turned on there you print driver will override that setting.

              Doc1.doc

I would download a new driver from one of the canon websites and do a completely new install.
