[Misc] Software Tech Tips_imageRUNNER ADVANCE Color Series

    Software Tech Tips_
    imageRUNNER ADVANCE Color Series

Symptom: Cannot set default settings on the imageRUNNER
ADVANCE for Mailbox Settings problem, which may in fact
    be file related only
    .
Solution: All jobs from this point will print Black (B/W)
    as default from the Mailbox.

    imageRUNNER ADVANCE Desktop Communicator
    (imageRUNNER ADVANCE Essentials)

    Symptom:
Cannot log in to imageRUNNER ADVANCE
    Desktop Communicator.

    What is the default password?
    How can I change it?

    Solution:
    The imageRUNNER ADVANCE Desktop Communicator
is a MEAP application which retrieves Fax Address Book
Addresses from an imageRUNNER ADVANCE device into the
    imageRUNNER ADVANCE Desktop application.
The default password is set to "DtComm7654321". Canon
recommends the System Administrator to change the password
immediately after starting the imageRUNNER ADVANCE
    Desktop Communicator.
The System Administrator can change the default password
by logging into the URL from the browser.

To add to teckats tip. If the default password as been change and another one has been set and forgotten.
Another way to reset, is to flash the machine and reset password. Do it with the usb stick, done in five mintues.

        To add to this discussion,,,

To add to this discussion, you should inform your operator who may be inclined to change the password, that they should inform you as to what that new password is. You have a legitimate need for that information! You can place that info in your service information so that it can be accessed later when the inevitable problems occur, and no seems to remember what the password was change to....

I love the password blowout from the USB stick, one of our guys in training changed & forgot it, first practical use of that great utility!
