ir 5570 fax reports

    ir 5570 fax reports

    the fax transmission report is printing all zeros. recently the customer had a card reader system installed by an outside vender, so i'm not famaliar with its capabilities. could the card reader affect the fax reports? the faxes are going thru, just the reports are not right. please help. thanx

    doing an "all clear" on the fax in service mode will resolve this issue. make sure you print out the address book before you execute the clear.

      You can backup the fax address book, as well as settings by opening up the RUI from your laptop, and Export the settings to your laptop desktop. Perform the clear, and then open up the RUI once more to Import the settings back into the copier. The Address Book is pretty quick, but the Additional Functions Settings one takes about 5 minutes. Be patient while it does it's thing...

            I have never seen an explanation, but the all clear does take care of it. Probably some sort of memory lock up and it can not produce the necessary information on the page.
