    color copy can be used by authorized person

    Sometime we want to use IRC3220 being only black & white copier, without permittion or authorized password, no one can take color printing. how to use *28* to control this function.

    You can't change anything in service mode.

    You default your copier to B/W

    Press the Auto Color Select Button:
    1. Select Black
    2. Select the Additional Function Button
    3. Select The Copy Settings Button and go to the Second Screen
    4. Press the Standard Settings Button
    5. Select Store ( A message will come up asking you if you wish to store this setting.)
    6. Select "Yes" Store in Memory
    7. Press the Done Button
    8. Press the Done Button again in order to go out of the Additional Function Screen

      If you go dancing around in "*28*" land and don't know what you are doing you could render your copier inoperable.Then you would have to place a service call($$$)

        There is simply no way to restrict color usage, unless you are using ID's. Set up a Black&White ID and a Color ID. Then only hand out the Color one to the authorized people. The Color ID can make B&W copies, but only the Color ID can make color copies....
