E000748-4311 on iR-c2880

Hi, Fellows,

I have come accross this iR-c2880 that displays error E000748-4311.
I appears that it used to have an imagePASS-J1 before, but it has disappeared.

Is this error due to the fact that the iP-J1 is missing?
What do I need to do in order to put it back to normal (no iP-J1)?

An E748 4311 error can happen during transporting of the machine or if the controller box assembly is removed.

An E748 4311 error can happen during transporting of the machine or if the controller box assembly is removed.


The sub controller RB-A PCB (Figure 935 FM2-6810-000) may not be installed or seated correctly.

The PCB is held to the main controller by clip locks on the main board and a tension bracket that holds the board to the controller box assembly. Remove the bracket (with tension mount) and re-seat the Sub controller RB-A PCB (fig 935) to the main controller. Then reinstall the tension bracket.

If not installed, please install the RB-A PCB. The RB-A PCB is included in the UFR II / PCL printer kits. Before installing the license, make sure to install this board or else you may see the E748-4311.

Also make sure the cable is there that plugs into the pcb. I had one shipped with it in a box that came with the machine.
