    irC3200 blank display

Sometimes the machine comes to ready - mostly not. After an original is scanned (also internal test print or imagepass C1 print) the touch display blanks out and all copying/printing stops - no beeps or flashing lights. Started intermittant now almost every time.

When it first started (a month or so ago) reseating the ram chips seemed to make it go away for awhile).

Codes found in service mode history: E-732/E-733/E-747

    Have replaced:
    Ram chips
    Boot Rom chip
Reader interface pcb (mounted on printer main controller)
    Reader interface cable
Main and sub-main cont w/sram pcb

I'm thinking of replacing power supply and possibly relay pcb next
    Any other suggestions?

Start reseating all the connectors at the main controller, all sub boards, etc. Reseat the mounting screws for the controller to the cage, hdd connector, etc. You have reader and printer communication faults so I wouldn't focus on reader. When it goes blank let it sit. Does it reboot? How do you get it to reboot? Off then on? Get a p print, clear the ram and re install system software. Need more info

One other cause of the problem which was confirmed to cause a blank display condition is the main controller fan.

Also Check fuse pcb for blown fuses.

Thanks for the replies. I'm going back out there right now with a fuse pcb and main controller fan. I'll post the results.

It looks like the main controller fan took care of it!
            Thanks for the help.

                Hi Every0ne,

even this is an old thread but I like to continue it. Now is 2012 and I facing this problem. I have chnage the power supply pcb with the fuse pcb and the main controller pcb assembly but the cooling fan I didnt change. All The parts I take from working machine in my office.after that the machine still the same.

Do copy is no problem, only printing from omputer it dead ( the screen become blank and not reboot)

If the fan is cause of this problem suppose to have an error code isn"t it?

I still struggling with this problem

Can it be the Dc controller Pcb as well?

You need to explain exactly what the problem is/you are all over the place-----

When u make a copy off the glass, u use the control panel & all is ok ??

When u print from PC, the LCD on printer goes blank ?? what reboot are u talking about ??

Remove & Re-seat the memory DIMMs, the boot ROM, and the control panel connectors.
check connections on Power Distribution PCB/
                  see below-----------

                  did u check wall voltage= NETURAL>HOT---NETURAL>GROUND---HOT>GROUND ???????????

                    Hi Teckat,

Yes I do Copy On Copy Glass (platen Glass). the macine finish the job and the screen didn't turn off.
But if I printing from PC, The machine going off. it did not restart it self.( because I have an experiance the machine auto restart after going off)
Actually I change whole of the main controller unit include the distribution pcb. this main con pcb taken from well known working machine.

On my experiance, one of the cause for this is the fuse pcb. but I already changed the power supply unit also.

The voltage on power source is ok. N>L =230V,N>E=0,L>E=230V

                    thanks for reply.
