change the laser scanner...scanner is the same as the lj 2200 and I have that part..just want an Idea before I go on site about changing it. thanks

system E100 is the error and when it goes to print you do not hear the laser spinning up noise so we think its a failed scanner mtr. are we correct?You never realize how cheap a professional is until after you let an amateur do it.... and

I too get to do one today also,,, lots of covers and optical scanner assembly needs to be removed, than you have access to the laser..."Once a King, always a King, but once a Knight is enough!"

Success!!
Took me 50 minutes,,,, and 2 bandaids! That sheet metal in the controller cage is always biting me...

I took about 60min and that is with my handy dandy electric screw driver. Metal cage is a bit sharp but no bandaids......when I plugged the machine in the scanner wound up and then it started to print...brought tears to my eyes and $$$$ to me pocket!

Is it intermittent or constant error? Reseat the connectors at the laser driver and also on the ECU and SCNT boards. Make sure that the cartridge has the plastic piece on it to open the laser shutterComment
