    Canon ir 1023/toner leak

    HI,
    Machine is leaking toner out of front side of toner cartridge(already replaced cartridge)Builds uo over time causing toner dusting on table and cassette.Only on front side,appears to be comimg from toner cartridge.Any help would help.

      Are you using canon parts.

      I think its a bit normal for this to happen.

          I always see a bit of dusting around the cartridge opening behind the front cover, sometimes down on the front of the cassette. Never any great amount though...

              Pull out toner cart and look inside. If covered with toner,cln. Check shutter alignment. I think it just gets pulled out with the cart when they replace toner. it may be that when toner is installed, it dribbles. Over time, it builds up, then it gets drug out.
