Use Gmail SMTP from ImageWare Management Console

    Hello,

I setup up a Canon ImageRunner 5045i, and I'm trying to monitoring it through the ImageWare Management Console.
My problem is that at iWMC I can not setup the Gmail SMTP for sending mail.
I went to Configuration->Common Settings->Communications setting, but there no option for "Allow SSL (SMTP send)".

    Please bear in mind that:
    1. If use a local SMTP server, then it works.
    2. I setup gmail SMTP send at Canon 5045i. So, from the Machine I can send emails, but not from the iWMC.

Any help will be greatly appreciated.

imageWARE Enterprise Management Console requires IIS to operate.
    • If you want to use SSL with imageWARE Enterprise Management Console, it is
necessary to set SSL after installing IIS

      Thanks for your answer...

I did the following steps, still NO luck
      1. Unistall the ImageWare console
      2. Setup the SSL in IIS
      3. Install Imageware console, with "Enable SSL" selected.

Now, I can enter in console using https, but still there is no option like "Allow SSL (SMTP send)", in communication settings.
So, I can not setup the ImageWare to send emails through the Gmail service.
Is there anyone who manage to do that?

      Regards,

          Yes, I already check it...
I try different ports, but with no luck.
As I mention before, I manage to setup gmail in the 5045i machine, and it works fine, But in ImageWare I can not...

              Have you tried:

              aspmx.l.google.com ?

it requires port 25 and is authenticated. just use your gmail UN & PW to authenticate

              Good luck
