u will need to check for harness damage

    OLD REPAIR POST
A Check on connector J161D was getting voltage to the back of the connector, but apparently the contact for the 24V was broken internally and the voltage was not getting to the double male connector mounted on the primary duct assembly. Replacing the connector resolved the problem and FM2 is working with no error code.

found this Tech Pu below may help

    E824-0001 Code

The machine is down hard for error code E824-0001.

FM2 - the Primary Charging Cooling fan was not rotating. The fan now rotates after replacing FM2 but the machine is still down for the error code.

DC CON Clear was performed in service mode. The DC Controller PCB has been replaced. The Front Cable (item 39 of Figure 101 in the Parts Catalog) has been replaced.

    Workaround :
In this case, it was determined that FM2 was physically rotating but in Service Mode level 1 ( * 2 / 8 * ) > Copier > I/O > P-CON; address P005, bit 1 (FM2-Primary Charging Cooling Fan Stop Detect signal) a "1" was displayed which indicated that FM2 was in a Stop state.

It was then determined that FM9 - the Circulation Duct fan, that is used in the machine had the same part number as FM2. In service mode level 1 > Copier > I/O > P-CON; address P004, bit 10 (FM9-Circulation Duct Fan Stop Detect signal) a "0" was displayed which indicated that FM9 was in a Non-Stop (a rotating) state.

Since there is no error code associated with FM9 when the fan malfunctions and FM9 has the same part number as FM2 and FM9 was operating properly in the machine, FM2 and FM9 were swapped around. Error code E824-0001 then cleared out, the machine booted up fine, cycled and came to the Ready state. Copies were then made.

Installing another fan resolved the service issue. The part number for replacing either FM2 or FM9 is FK2-0103-000.

For the location of the fans FM2 and FM9 in the machine refer to the following figure.

When the Primary Fan Duct [1] is removed from the equipment the harness for J161D [2] is too short
making it very difficult to disconnect. The harness, over time, will stretch and cause an open circuit. As a
result this could cause intermittent E824 codes.

A harness extension [2] was made to connect to J161D [1]. This will extend the harness making it easier to
      remove the Primary Fan Duct.

      1} Open the front cover.
      2) Open the toner cover
      3) Remove the two screws and detach the toner supply cover
      4) Remove the screw and detach the connector cover.
      5) Connect the fan harness [2] to the connector from the equipment side [1].
