if u do not see the Dual Line Options

then u better check that your Fax Modem cable connection is in correct spot


For the Dual-Line Fax Board, make sure the wire harness from the fax board to the Main Controller PCB is connected to J1005.

make sure it is not in J1030

With a single line fax board installed in the machine, it is normal to see the fax version as PSTN=On Board Fax.
If a dual line fax board is installed in the machine, a version number will be displayed.

i can try to check IN SERVICE MODE -under COPIER > DISPLAY > VERSION ,
there is disply
pstn=onboard fax.

so this is single line fax/double line fax????

when u set this up / did u have the cables shown in the install pdf i posted

u probably have a single line Super G3 FAX Board-Q1
they look the same
they both show dual connectors, but the difference is the MODEM

I just had a thought ram into my head. Physically, the fax boards just have those tiny gray port covers over the ports that are not being used. If a port cover is missing from the 2nd line port of a single line fax board, that would completely explain the problems being experienced here...

Am I incorrect in this assumption?

u are right on the money/

poster may have been deceived in the purchase/

both G3 FAXES LOOK EXACTLY THE SAME/ until u set them up/ and look in your settings

in my adobe acrobat 9.3.2 professinal says/messgae displays you opened the file is attaching with email . so the file has been damaged.

so what to do???

right click on link/ & save link as file name G3 FAX-D1.pdf

save to desktop location/

what are u worried about/ the Bottom Line is u have a single line Fax

where did u purchase this/ did u receive it in a box w/Label

u also need to use correct phone modular cord for your Country/Region

i downloaded somany times..
its saved as a html webpage.
i try to open your attachemnet files in adobe reader 9.3.4 and adobe acrobat 9.3.2 also same message given. message is (adobe reader /acrobat could not open the file because it is either not a suported file type or because the file has been damaged,for example it was sent an email attachment and was not corectly decoded)

so how can i open file. and how can i check the board????

And its just a PDF of the installation procedure.

There would be no info about boards in this PDF file.

in Adobe Reader 9.3.4 Under >Edit> Preferences> Internet> make sure the Display PDF in Browser box is not checked.

i have tried somany times again.
what you have said the order one by one.
again failed for downlaoding your file.

i am deeply observe why the files is not opened????

problem find out.....

the problem is... when iam downloading your .pdf file automatically downloaded with internet download mangaer.
so internet download manger (idm) converts .pdf files after downloading file has been changed to html webpage..
so file have not been opened.

so now what iam doing here for downloading your file.
internet download manger(idm) stoped for working temporary set it.
then downloading your file maually.
now its download file save as also pdf file. now then opening file.

now my question is how to find out my boad is single or double line fax.????
i can check pdf file everthing those are same images is displayed.

so tell me how to find the boad dual line /single line for easy method..

The boxes look exactly the same, the only visual difference between the two setups is on the interface board that mounts to the main controller box, the one you had upside down. It is my belief that you have a single line unit in your possesion. It is doubtful if you had a dual line unit, that only one port would go out... Were you the one to install this feature, and was it new out of the box? Or did you inherit this problem?
