    5045 Help

    Hey folks,

We recently got a canon 5045 and it was working great, we decided to hook it up to our networked router and it simply wouldn't work. Some of the network settings were changed in the 802.1x menu and we unplugged the copier. Once we turned it back on we have an issue where the screen will respond for a second and then the screen will freeze up. Is there a way to hard reset it without using the touch screen or anything else we can do?

    Thanks!

Are u talking IR Advance C5045 ? There are a few out there with faulty memory dimms installed on Main Con1. These modules can cause a freezing control panel.

Yeah, the IR Advance C5045, it was working perfectly fine before for copy/scanning. Once someone unplugged the cable from the wall when it was on and plugged it back in is when the issues started.

Did you notice this before you try to network the machine.

Did you configure the machine with a static IP?

It wasn't happening before we unplugged it from the wall, we did change some of the networking settings in the admin menu.

            Are you tech?

If not. I would call a service guy.

When the plug was pulled something could have happen.
