[Misc] IR C3200 w/ ImagePass C1; Need info and/or SW to connect?

New T&M Customer bought one of these guys and needs it connected. Different animal from what I am used to.
The IP configuration at the machine is strange and the lan port is connected to a server box hanging on the back. I am guessing I need to conect to the server box (c1) to config but have no idea how to even get a look at the existing config of the IP C1. Do I need software to access this device? I cannot find a user or admin guide on the web to help me out.

That comes with a C-1 system software disk which you need and the drivers are available on the Canon website.
    Here are the drivers

Along the top of the control panels lcd you should see a tab called printer. If you hit that tab its going to bring into the C1. Hit the tab in the middle then look for functions at the bottom and scroll. Print out a configuration page check the info on the page. To set up a new configuration in the same area under functions look for run set up you should the see network setting options.

Well what if you can't get to setup? That's my problem. I hit the printer tab then touch the printer settings/status button, and soon after I get the E000677-0004 (I think that's what it is) error code.

          Solution :
In some cases it has been found that replacing the cable between the ImagePass C1 and the copier*resolve this problem.*
Additionaly, make sure that the copier is at a minimum of ver. 55 system software.

E000677-xxxx means external controller error, which implies a problem with the Imagepass C1. What i do is: reload the controller software with a laptop and reseat memory + processor. If that doesn;t work or i get an error during reloading the software is replace the imagepass harddisk. If still not solved a new controller mainboard is needed (this an expensive one).

From my experience E677-0004 costed me a mainboard most of the time.

To add to fer post, there was a situation, the Heat Sink and CPU Fan detach from the Mother Board and created this problem. When this occurs the CPU is not properly cooled and becomes defective.

Perfrom the proper steps needed to re-install the CPU heat sink and cooling fan back onto the CPU and see if that resolved the issue.

If re-installing the heat sink and CPU cooling fan does not resolve the issue, then the Mother Board will need to be replaced or sent for repair to an authorized repair facility.

Now how would I check to see what version the system software is? Would I go into service mode, or would that be in additional functions?

Press the Counter button on the operators panel, when it displays the meter readings, in the lower right hand corner of the screen, there is a button marked Hardware Configuration, press that to access MN-Cont version info...

Wow thanks for all the info everyone. I hope to be able to try some of the suggestions today. Also does anyone know where I can find the C1 system software, or a setup configuration guide? Or do you have to be an authorized Canon tech to get the software?

I believe Teckat attached some material in the 8th post of this thread.

Firmware your gonna have to find it or purchase it.
