    [Misc] Using Ir5000 as Scanner

Hallo, I am new to this site

I have ir5000N. It can print through a laptop, but can not be used as a scanner. If the SCAN button is pressed on the machine, It's written on the screen of machine "this function requires additional equipment."

How do I make my machine (ir5000), it can also be used as a scanner? ...
I am very grateful for your answer
    Thank You.

    1) Enter Service Mode by pressing Additional Functions > 2 and 8 simultaneously > Additional Functions.
    2) Select Copier.
    3) Select the Option tab.
    4) Select User.
    5) Scroll to page 3 and select NW-Scan and set this to 1 (the default is 0).
    6) Select OK.
    7) Press Reset to back out of Service Mode and reboot the imageRUNNER

Afterwards you need to install the scangear tool.

Here's the link for the scangear tool.
