I think the question really is how can one print to the 2016 using a pc? I'll leave that up to others to reply to the person.

          "

According to this, you need the UFR II driver, available from the Canon website, and configure the ethernet settings to suit your needs, or use the USB port on the copier.

For ir2016J ,is "unextendable copy model".Is a basic copier only
Without the J series model is extendable for print and fax

Thanks Peter, for the education on the "J" series. I think I am going to bow out of answers on the "toy" copiers and save my responses for the real machines...

but what is the difirence between the drivers and NETSPOT !!!
Printer drivers allow the PC to communicate with the printer in a mutual set of commands, enabling printing, and feedback from the printer.

Canon's NetSpot Suite is a group of software utilities designed to ease the administrative burdens associated with installing, monitoring, and managing Canon and 3rd party (monitoring only) print devices on corporate enterprise networks.

If you are trying to print, you need the correct driver based on copier model, PC operating system, and driver mode such as UFRII, PCL, or PostScipt.

                        I believe its just marketing.

I believe iR2016j is Canon europe.
