I know this is not a copier but it seem there are a lot for really smart techs here. I get a "download standby" message on the display, tech support says it's a main bd. I replaced it with a new one and get the same msg. Any suggestions?

It seems like maybe it needs firmware updating.
There is a Canon MF tool. I'm not to sure if it will work.
There are some instructions on how to do the procedure but its a procedure for, Canon MF5650 / MF5630 / MF3110
Different model but it might be the same procedure.
