someone would have to break out the schematic for this machine and you would have to tap into the wiring that pulses the digital counter on the machine. We did this a long time ago on the NP and GP series for a small copy center but those machines used the analog counters so it was easy....not so sure in this case.
Does anyone know how to connect copier counter from IR5070 board??

someone would have to find the circuit for the counter and you would have to tap into that wiring in order to see if that analog counter would function correctly...this could cause issues with digital counter on the device. We connected those counter on the old NP and GP models for a small copy center many years ago, but technology is much better now. IMO I wouldn't mess with this. Not worth the $$$ if it messes up the machine.Accidents don't just happen. They must be carelessly planned.Comment

he ask anyone to know to connect a counter. he didn't ask about is it right or wrong. if you know the possibility just say can. it is very easy to built a analog counter. canon stop it due to reduce the cost they put software counter. a simple circuit cost 2$ can give a accurate count. i agree i am not a canon certified technician. this is basic electronics. it will not take more then 10 min. to do. canon did in previous models. same thing any electronics engineer can do. there is no alteration needed in machine just get a signal from delivery sensor.Comment
