[Error Code] e255 (black lines on ir5000)

At first error e225. The technician replaced the CCD. After changing the CCD, it's become normal. But after 2 weeks the results like this ...(see Attachmennt)

Looks like a bad LAMP/ see if is blinking
E225= Check your ribbon cable./ did tech do a (CCD>ADJ)

Check the scanning lamp
Check the inverter PCB is
Check if the CCD/AP PCB is faulty.


Call the back Tech or request an experienced person~~~~~~~~~~

Symptom
E225-0001: due to faulty Lamp Inverter PCB Ass'y

Description
Low reproducibility with a single scan. This error is more likely to occur during the second sheet scanning or later when multiple sheets of original are set on the DADF. In such a machine, even performing the following service mode is no effective: [COPIER>FUNCTION>CCD>CCD-ADJ].

Cause
In the past, a malfunction of the Toshiba-made switching regulator IC on the Lamp Inverter PCB occurred due to variations of its circuit components. This caused unstable illumination of the lamp, resulting in E225.

Field Remedy
Replace the Lamp Inverter PCB　Ass'y with a countermeasure one.

An diode has been added in order to accommodate variations of the circuit components.

0001　A specific level cannot be attained for the signal during CCD gain correction at power-on.
0002　The edge gain correction level is different from the correction level for the preceding sheet by a specific level or more.

Main cause
　The scanning lamp is faulty. The CCD PCB is faulty. The rear controller PCB is faulty.

Action
1. Scanning lamp (LAMP1)
　Is the lamp ON during the initial operation after the main power switch is turned on?
　NO: Replace the scanning lamp.
2. CCD unit, Reader controller PCB
　Try replacing the CCD unit. Is the problem corrected?
　YES: End.
　NO: Replace the reader controller PCB.

Also when the CCD is replaced there is a procedure that has to be taken afterwards.

Points to Note when Replacing the CCD Unit


1) Check to make sure that the Execute/Memory lamp in the control panel is OFF, and turn off the main power switch.
2) Disconnect the power plug from the power outlet.





The machine remains supplied with power as long as its power plug is connected to a power outlet even when its main power switch is turned off. Be sure to disconnect the power plug.

3) Replace the CCD unit.
4) After assembling the machine, connect the power plug to the power outlet, and turn on the main power switch.
5) Execute the following service modes in sequence:

6) See that all items of COPIER>ADJUST>CCD is updated. Record the results on the service label.
7) Turn off and then on the main power switch.
8) Make test copies in book mode and feeder mode, and check to make sure that they are free of displaced images. Otherwise, execute the following:
Book Mode
A: COPIER>ADJUST>ADJ-XY>ADJ-X
B: COPIER>ADJUST>ADJ-XY>ADJ-Y

Feeder Mode
C: COPIER>ADJUST>ADJ-Y-DF

9) Execute the following in service mode to generate a service label; FUNCTION>MISCP> LBL-PRNT. Store the service label in the service book case.
