iR ADV C5040i Direct Print Kit H1

Can anyone please help me on this one

My customer has the above and mentioned that he wanted to print via the RUI (Direct Print)
I installed a H1 direct print kit, but it will only do images (JGP's) and XPS(Mircosoft version of PDF)

But the customer wants to be able to print .doc, .xls, and PDF's
The PDF's is easy, just need to install a PS kit

But I am unsure how to go about the .doc, and the others

The salesman has just passed the buck, and left it to service to sort out
    (Typical, Gee Thanks )

Can anyone shed some light on how i can do this please

    Any help is greatful

    Thanks

Sorry to be the bearer of bad news but direct print is only for print ready files (.txt .pdf .ps .prn...jpg..xps).

They would have to check "print as file" from the program and then remember that file name and location. Then send that file to the RUI. Seems like it would be easier to just use a print driver.

Direct print is mostly for print shops so they don't have to have a copy of every expensive software out there and to insure the job will be printed exactly as the customer wanted. When a customer makes their own print ready file it saves the print shop a lot of headaches.

Tell your sales man to go to sales training. Its his job to put together what the client needs and too demo what he is selling.

Dumb ass sales people. I never help a sales man. I tell them to call Canon, Dumb asses.
