[Electrical] iPF6300/6350-Unable to Recover Printer Identification-HIGH PRIORITY

Technical Publication describes the importance of NEVER replacing both boards at the same time.
    DETAILS:

The part number (QM3-6657-000), for the Main Controller PCB is the same for both the iPF6300 and
iPF6350. The only difference between these 2 printers is that the iPF6350 has an HDD (Hard Disk Drive).

Therefore, when performing service on an iPF6350 and a board replacement is necessary,

DO NOT UNDER ANY CIRCUMSTANCE, replace both the Main Controller PCB and the M/C Relay PCB at the
same time. Doing so will change the identity of the printer.

The iPF6350 will become an iPF6300 and this process cannot be reversed.
    All Serial numbers affected

Thank you for this very useful information.
I am currently working on an iPF6200, hopefully similar precaution may be necessary. However, there is one thing I can't comprehend fast enough, that the iPF6300 lacks HDD while the iPF6200 has got one. Where is the logic? any light?
