    CLC 3220 magenta fat lines

    Dear experts,

    I have a CLC 3220 machine with 48k print/copy for now.
I have a magenta color issue, when print / copy.
I have magenta fat lines on the copy/print sheet; sometimes this fat line does not appear on the printed/copied sheets. These fat lines appear either if the print is full color or small percentage of color.

    Please any suggestions

looking at your examples i would say you have either a faulty cyan dev unit or a faulty cyan drum (assuming it is a 4 drum machine) that is where i would start at this point in time

You can start with cleaning the magenta drum unit & the magenta transfer roller inside ITB assy. If cleaning fails then replace it both.

Not a big fan of those options.

              But he can try.

Make force stop in the middle of yob, pull out the drums and check witch one is the problem.

Replace the M-drum or better replace YMC or even beter replace em all.

The problem is a bad or flat spot on the primary charging roller, the flat spot cannot properly charge the charge the drum, on that side toner is attracted and causing M background.

                        good point>>

those Primary charge rollers need to be inspected/ they pop out of place on ends/ plastic ends also break/

also when coated with toner , they do not function well
