Take the finisher out of limited functions mode as zoraldinho said....if the finisher has problems you will get an error that will need diagnosis ......if the sorter just had a one time error or a customer interfered with tray movement or something .....the finisher should reset & be usable.

You can't turn it off. You must rectified the problem first.

        @ Tinny.
How does your error history look. Error codes???

Three things that could play role here.

        Switching Regulator- FH3-2631-040

        Fuse pcb- FG3-1826-000

        Finisher controller- FG3-1875-060

        Check your error history log..

No error code SCREWTAPE about finisher. In error history just E-00020-000 and E-00020-010(Toner Motor was dirty)
I just have cleared Errors as normally.

I have just tested boards of finisher with a Multimeter and every cell of them looks to be ok.
But...after turn the copier on,there is no led on,on the finisher boards.

I'm afraid that's the only one.

The only models I know are K1/K2/K3

                Did you check the plug.

my experience reminds me that if finisher is connected and its says "finisher cannot be used" I usually checked the connection and communication between copier and finisher. To quickly determine if the two are communicating is to have the finisher do the stapling and if it doesn't allow you to do that, then u have a communication problem bet. copier and finisher. the easiest solution i found is to check all the plugs especially the communication cable from finisher to copier. open the connector and check the connection. keep us posted for more hint

Screwtape is right.Seems to be a problem with a RL which is here :
JW1FSN-DC24V Panasonic Electric Works General Purpose / Industrial Relays
This RL when i plug in finisher wire, makes a rumor like "crack" and nothing else happens.
No leds on,on finisher DC Controller,no fan on,nothing on.

As blazebusiness and zoraldindo said turn limited funtions off if there is a fault it will turn up again next time you used stapler etc. then work out fault.

These machines don't work that way. There is no switch for functions limited mode.
                        The problem must be rectified.
