What were u doing to cause this code ??
were u replacing MAIN CONTROLLER ??
were u swapping boards ???

E355 error code is due to no communication between the Main-Controller board and the Serial Number board
The boards are connected by a 11 PIN yellow connector and cable. This yellow connector must be reseated on the new Main-Controller board when changed. The connector must be seated firmly on the board.

Enter Service Mode: Press * Additional Functions, 2&8 simultaneously, then * Additional Functions again.
2. Then select the [COPIER] option. Under [COPIER], select the Function tab.
3. Under the [FUNCTION] tab, select the [CLEAR] option.
4. In [CLEAR] there is a selection E355-CLR. Select it and hit OK.
5. Reboot the machine.

If the error occurs again:
1. Make sure the connection is secure and tight to the Main-Controller board from the connector cable to the Serial Number board below.
2. Re-seat the Main-Controller board into its slot.
3. Go into service mode and clear the error code as explained above.

If the error still continues, you probably have a bad Serial Number board and it needs to be replaced.

REPLACE the serial number PCB and counter PCB ///and check the cannecter of Main-Controller and serial number PCB its okk.////and clear error but still ////i reseat the ram and off then on .,,copier display blanck...

Mismatch of serial numbers of three items:
Serial Number PCB, Main Controller/ Image Processor PCB(SRAM)
and Counter Memory PCB.

At power-on, a mismatch of serial numbers among the Serial Number PCB, Main Controller / Image Processor PCB and Counter Memory PCB was identified (“ProhibitedAction”).

ACTION TO FIX
1. Put back all original PCB's into the equipment!
2. Do not utilize a usedCounter Memory PCB or Serial Number PCB from
any other equipment.
3. Ensure connector J1023 is connected

After “Prohibited Action” has been corrected, perform “E355CLR”(FUNCTION>CLEAR> E355-CLR) then cycle power offand on.

1023iF/ 2016/ 2020/ 2016i/2020i see step # 10 under“Servicing”).
