    Kind of sounds like the np6650, prefeed paper, then wait on optics to signal at home. Try a test print.

    Key the service switch behind the counter cover, ** twice on the * in the 10 key area of the control panel, select Function, advance to 10-Test Prints.

    let us know what happens...

      Is this while scanning ?? If so does scanner move then stop ?

        I have seen all sorts of Canons freeze up because of sticky scan rails,techs oil them then the oil turns to thick goo. Clean the scan rails with alcohol,then apply light coating of 3-in-1 oil on them. Cleaning and oiling is part of our pm procedure. NP6030 family would freeze up,then the copy count would change to 99!!!

          If this is the same machine as the North American GP200 / GP210 (and I think it is), weren't those machines notorious for bad composite power supplies?

          I don't remember what they did when they headed south, but maybe...
