Canon imageRunner iR 3300 connected but not printing

I'm trying to use an iR 3300 as a net-printer.
I configured the TCP/IP with the display interface and connected it to the net. Now if I browse http://<IP>:631/ I can see the "remote User Interface" of the printer.
In http://<IP>:631/cdntcp.cgi I can see the "IPP setting" and "Use IPP" is set.
Nevertheless http://<IP>:631/ipp keeps on giving "404 Not Found", and the CUPS configuration program tells that he can find an IPP printer ipp://<IP>:631/ipp, but can not connect to it...

One more info: I did set to "OFF" all "IP range" refuse/accept filters (both set/browse and RX/print).

Can you please suggest me how to go further?

    Thanks,
    m

Go to COPIER>DISPLAY>ACC-STS and find if PS/PCL =1, if so then run the printer setup software and set the <ip> as a Standard TCP/IP address.
    Wish u luck!

try SNMP unchecked in properties part of driver. its under the ports tab.
Yes, I am here to fix your machine. No, your machine went out of warranty 18 years ago.

You are obviously trying to print from a Mac.

        A few things:

        1. Which mac OS?

        2. Intel or Motorola processor? 32 or 64 bit?

        3. Most importantly... Does your iR3300 have PostScript? If it doesn't, you MAY be able to use Gutenprint drivers, if they are available, but performance will suffer, and it's not supported officially by anyone.

        4. If IPP printing still fails, why not use LPR? Hint: the queue name is "lp" (that's "el p", not a "1".) There is no default queue on any MFP that I know of.

No, I'm connecting the printer to a network with Linux machines I'll try your suggestion and let you know.

Sorry, I guess I just assumed you has a Mac environment (after all, it IS Linux under the hood. )

Which version of Linux are you using?

I tried with the suggestion received, but I did not succeeded. I sporadically have some time to do a test... next time I'll try I'll see with a different OS and then (if everything works) I'll sniff the net.

Anyway, I'm using mainly Debian and some Ubuntu.

PS: I can not see the driver to dovnload.

Has the unit been flash with print sw? You can have all the networking in place without having the PCL or PS sw loaded. Do you have a PCL / PS in the additional funtions area?
