E019 error in 2018 & 2016

Hi Frens,

I have two canon Copier machines. 1st is Canon iR2016N and 2nd is Canon iR2018n copier. Both machines are giving "E019" error intermedite problem. When error appeares I always used to switch off for 2 minutes and then switch it on. Themn both machines works fine. Please help me what to do?
I can repair myself, please suggets me the solution.

E019 means that waste toner is full. check drum unit for defects. waste toner container is in drum unit. there is white plug on top of drum unit and You can empty it. Usually when E19 appears it is time to replace drum unit (cca 50000 copies)

Thnak your very much your valuable reply. I had checked drum unit. But it is not full by waste of toner. it is empty. But still it is giving thgis error. and Drum is fixed recently. is there any solution? please help me.

check gears for drum unit. If I remember correctly there should be gear that pushes waste toner to one end of box. Detection is based on sensor that is located on front frame behind plastics that are covering lock mechanism and left door open/close switch. Try cleaning it from dust, if that doesn't help try to replace it. (i heave never heard that sensor has gone bad but there is first time for everything)

I have done the same thing which you had told. I had cleaned Waste Toner senser and both machines are working fine now without error.
