    ImageRUNNER 5070

Have a problem with an imagerunner 5070 that shifts the image up (away from control panel) in the y direction on duplex prints. I have adjusted X and Y values to try and correct but 2nd side always comes out shifted 1/4 inch. I have tried adjusting cassettes and other service mode values with no change. Any suggestions? Also, do the Canon Saddle Stitch finishers Z fold? If so, how do we enable this feature?

    Thanks

I hope u are not using the doc feeder ??

Open APP u plan to use /use your PC or MAC set up crop marks to align front and back/ then remove crop marks

check and adjust service mode COPIER>ADJ>Feed-ADJ>REFE. Changing the setting by 10 will adjust the image by 1mm.

I find the best way is to use the APP you are printing from to adjust 2nd side/ it's a trial and error

      ImageRUNNER 5050 / 5055 / 5065 / 5070 / 5075 / 5570 / 6570 When Duplex, the Second Side is Skewed and the Registration is off.

When duplexing, the second side is skewed and the registration is off.

The Horizontal Sensor and motor were tested and both were operational. The issue was resolved after the tech noticed that the Steel roller, item 25 which presses on the Foam roller, item 24 was excessively worn.
The Steel roller, item 25 was replaced (part number FB5-3322-020) along with the washer, item 66 (part number FS5-6488-000) and the bearing, item 78 (part number XG9-0192-000)

...my fault teckat, I stated "prints" and meant to say "copies". Copies are being generated from the glass (even the 2 sided ones) to take the feeder out of the equation for the moment. The problem exists for copies made from the glass and through the feeder. Same amount of shift on 2nd side no matter what. Have completed a DC-Con clear and re input all values from p-print with no change. As I stated before the image is shifted up (in the Y direction) almost 0.25 inches. Is there a duplex adjust for documents coming out of the duplex tray?
