I have cleaned all contacts on this machine ,vacced out etc, drums fairly new , has anybody had this prob ? intermittant

Hi Jezzer,

I have had this error many times. Sometimes is has been a faulty drum unit and sometimes I have even had to even replace the HVT1 board.

Do any of these help?

Had a 3380 last week request black drum replacement, this was on a drum showing very low life used. I flashed the copier up to the latest firmware and problem was resolved. I recalled an earlier conversation here on this board that was dealing with that problem, so I did what was suggested in that thread...

Replace the ITB assembly and clean its contacts....seen this at least 50 times. Machine checks for drum present by measuring primary charging,which is affected during image stabilization. Newest firmware addresses this problem.
