Does IR5055 Finisher have to be configured to the copier

As the paper comes out of the copier it hesitates to feed into the finisher causing the paper to buckle as it goes into the finisher.

does the printer see finisher ?

what finisher do u have ?
if it's a Finisher T1/2 and a Punch Unit M-1=On the Punch Controller SW601 are DIP Switches. The bits should all be set to OFF. Shifted bits to OFF, Finisher and Punch Unit will came to ready.

what is jam code or error code ?

Check if the spring for the actuator of the inlet sensor is out of position.
If it is >set back to the correct position, then check operation the delivery roller

It should be plug and play, as Teckat mentioned, check to see if the copier is recognizing the device. You can go into the display config info from the counter screen to see if the copier is recognizing the finisher, if it shows version info for the finisher , it knows it is present...
