One of my customers has a C3200 with the Imagepass-C1 print server attached. When processing print jobs or performing any of the internal test prints, they come out with a off-white background and uniform yellow spots down the middle of the page. Both color and black and white copies are fine. I replaced the motherboard - no joy. Any assistance would be deeply appreciated. I would have enclosed a picture, but the yellow would not show up on the page.

U replaced the motherboard in the C1 ??
u could have a bad interface cable.
did u try to remove calibration & re calibrate fiery
do u have a densitometer ??
The RIP can compensate for changes in conditions as long as it is aware of the copier's status. Calibration gives the RIP the information it needs to make the necessary adjustments.

Is your machine making good copies and internal test prints?
clean your optics on the machine, run a CCD adjust and auto gradation adjustment.
go into the menu of the C1 and remove all calibration and then recalibrate the C1.Accidents don't just happen. They must be carelessly planned.Comment

The configuration page which is black and white comes out fine. The CANON Pantone, CMY color chart and RGB color chart come out with the yellow spots down the middle of the 11"x17" pages. There is also a clicking sound when the fixing assembly rotates while the copier is idle. According to the service manual, the fixing assembly will rotate of for a few seconds to prevent the formation of flat spots on the rollers.Comment

the yellowing on the internal color charts makes sense if you have not gone through the calibration of the RIP and the data is off.
The noise could be a broken bushing, cracked fixing frame (they are plastic and only last so long) or broken drive gearAccidents don't just happen. They must be carelessly planned.Comment

IMO if the fuser area has a "clicking" noise to it it is usually just a flat spot on the rollers. It happens. So long as the fuser is working alright you should be fine. You could always pull the fuser out and rotate the rollers while looking at them in the light. I suggest that customers pull the fuser door out and flip the lever down to separate the rollers while they go home for the night. First thing in the morning when they get in I tell them to turn the office lights on, flip the fuser lever up (there are still a few of the old fuser cores around with the long lever that breaks if you close the door before flipping it), close the fuser door, and power the machine back up. This increases the life of the fuser by quite a bit from what I've seen.Comment
