    C3170 E020-01A8

This was the first code. I pulled the drum to clean the sensor and the drum was covered yellow as was the charge roller. I actually had gotten a copy but it had yellow streaks. After I cleaned the drum and charge roller, I can get a copy out but then it goes right into E020-0193. I wonder if it could be a charge roller problem. I took it out when I cleaned it and hope I reinstalled it properly. This is the only 3170 I have fortunately and don't have the manual. Drum and color dv units have 8k on them. I did see a posting about cl7 and possible dv units freezing up. Have to return on Friday. Any help would be great.

Brian see pdf below> on CL7
    Replacing CL7.pdf

To add on E020-01A8 was fixed with a DCON UPGRADE from 17.01 to 18.01

The following changes occur when upgrading the DCON of the imageRUNNER C3170 from v17.01 tov18.01:
If toner does not replenish the developing unit at installation and it is regarded as empty toner, a large quantity of toner is replenished at the recovery from the empty toner (H/H environment). An E020-01A8 then occurs. This has been corrected.
    v40.01 was revised to v40.01a

Thanks teckat. I read that bulletin before posting and planned on doing that when I go back. I was kinda hoping the building would collapse on the copier before I get there but my luck isn't that good.
