Canon IPF810 error code

Hi,
i'm a newentry...

Have hardware error 03130031-2 f13 on canon IPF 810.

I have expirience with HP printers but Canon ,for me, is a new world

i need your help!

Turn off printer, wait,
then turn on again.

03130031-2F13 A/D converter external trigger output stop detection
hardware error 1


as it is in service manual. replace printhead and test again.
Replace the new printhead.

Before you change anything,clean the encoder strip and also clean the carriage rail. This error is common on Canon wide format printers and is resolved by cleaning the rail and strip. Never grease that rail. Canon has numerous bulletins out for this issue

the problem is resolved, but sometimes the error appears again and stops the printer while it works.
After 2 or 3 attemps the printer works all day with no problems

The Rail must be dry? no lubrificant oil?

There are Oilite bushings in the carriage...your typical "copper/bronze" bushing. The metal is imprenated with lubricant. Like I mentioned,Canon has a lot of bulletins out about this.There is also a rail cleaner cartridge that must be replaced. A dull cutter blade will cause crashing during cutting. I've taken the carriage off,cleaned the bushings, and reseated the ribbon cable at the carriage to resolve some. Shine a flash light thru the encoder strip and carefully look for any contamination...its an optical reader for the strip. Not magnetic like on some.
