    Door specs (Door Label)

I have the following values on the DOOR LABEL (IR5000):

    Front Rear
    P1 8.5 8.5
    P2 8.5 8.5
    T 9.75 9.75
    S1 15.25 15.25
    S2 15.60 15.60

    I knew that p1 & P2 for main charge.
    S1 & S2 Sepration - T for transfere.

What is the story of these Values?
Why they stick it on the copier door?
    When I use these values?

    Thans all

What is the story of these Values?
Why they stick it on the copier door?
      When I use these values?

It is the standard distance between the Corona line with the drum.
To prevent pinhole or white spots on the drum.
        Should focus and follow strictly.

These are the factory set values for optimum machine performance. This gives you a reference point as a technician to go back to when the machine is having issues.

But how should I measure this distance?

One might try using a millimeter ruler,
              or you can guess ;-)

That distance is measured from the corona wire to the grid wires on the charge corona. I make it a point to never adjust these wire height screws, if you are having copy quality issues, rewire or replace the coronas. Don't mess with the screws.

This is good advice to follow. If you have a CQ issue get in there and clean the machine and fix the issue. Do not try and band aid it by adjusting the carona heigth up and down to compensate for an issue on another assembly.
